As Cigna continues to monitor the global spread of COVID-19, our top priority is the safety and service of our customers, clients, employees and partners. We have taken steps to help customers worried about symptoms or exposure to COVID-19 find greater peace of mind. We’re providing easier access to screening, testing, treatment, telehealth services, and behavioral health support. Here are steps we are taking:

  • Waiving customer cost-sharing for office visits related to COVID-19 testing through May 31, 2020.
  • Waiving customer cost-sharing for telehealth screenings for COVID-19 through May 31, 2020.
  • Waiving customer cost-sharing for all COVID-19 treatment through May 31, 2020.*
  • Providing customers with a free, web-based interactive triage tool that assesses COVID-19 risk and guides next best actions.
  • Making it easier for customers to be treated virtually for routine medical examinations by in-network physicians.
  • Deploying hundreds of on-staff clinicians, including physicians and nurse practitioners, to join the team of health care professionals at MDLIVE, to help increase capacity by delivering much-needed care to patients.
  • Providing free home delivery of up to 90-day supplies for Rx maintenance medications available through the Express Scripts Pharmacy, offering customers 24/7 access to pharmacists.
  • Offering supportive resources for customers, clients and communities for help in managing anxiety and improving resiliency.

We encourage you to stay up to date and informed on the latest information and resources by visiting our Coronavirus (COVID-19) Resources for Employers.

*This COVID-19 treatment policy applies to customers in the United States who are covered under Cigna’s employer/union sponsored insured group health plans, insured plans for US based globally mobile individuals, Medicare Advantage and Individual and Family Plans (IFP). Cigna will also administer the waiver to self-insured group health plans and the company encourages widespread participation, although these plans will have an opportunity to opt-out of the waiver option.
