Trying times bring out the best in us, as individuals and societies. We have seen unprecedented collaboration across government, nonprofit and private sector organizations in response to COVID-19, as well as many examples of people working together for the greater good. Of course, it all starts with the courage and dedication of our frontline healthcare workers around the world.

As you heard, The Brave of Heart Fund - jointly launched on Tuesday by the New York Life Foundation and the Cigna Foundation at E4E Relief (an independent public charity) - is one way we are delivering on our ongoing commitment to communities throughout this health emergency. This fund will provide charitable grants to financially support the families of healthcare workers who lose their lives in the fight against COVID-19. While they put themselves in harm’s way to serve those who desperately needed help, we believe it is our duty to support their families that were tragically left behind.

Our shared mission to provide financial security and peace of mind to individuals, families, and businesses across the country becomes more critical with each passing day. We will continue our unwavering focus to address the challenges you face and take action to protect and support the needs of you and your employees. We continue to deliver on your everyday expectations as well as remain steadfast in transition planning and look forward to coming together as a combined company*.

As we are all adjusting to life with social distancing and self-isolating, the well-being of our customers, clients, and community remains our highest priority. I encourage you to visit our COVID-19 Resource Center to find supportive tools, FAQs, and podcasts to help you navigate important topics.

Thank you for your ongoing partnership. We are here for you every step of the way – please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at or contact your Client Manager if you need further assistance.
